The Glyphs Oracle Deck by artist, Cheryl R. Riley are from her Glyphs on Pages of 1957 Encyclopedia series of gouache paintings who's definitions were assigned by the a Artist. After they revealed themselves to be the language of a mythological matriarchal society, the artist chose those that spoke to the divination aspects of Oracle card, which, unlike tarot cards, are interpreted by the Reader. Note that the "Death" card may refer to the end of a way of being, a project and relationship--not necessarily an actual death.

About the Artist
CHERYL R. RILEY is an African-American female artist, furniture designer and art advisor who's focus is artists of the Black African Diaspora. She has created wall art, installations, site-specific public artworks, custom and licenced lighting and furniture designs since 1986. Cheryl is a member of BADG (The Black Artists and Designers Guild) founded by artist/designer, Malene Barnett. She is designing a Sanctuary (Meditation/Grief/Worship) space that will feature the art of Renee Cox for Black Artists + Designers Guilds (“BADG”) Virtual Concept House, which launches October 2020.
